Selling

So ....you have (or have been left) an old stamp album ?

We often hear from people who have rediscovered their old stamp album or who have inherited an extensive or specialized collection from a family member or relative and who want to know what it is worth or even how to sell it.

We know when you first look at these items the reaction can be "I'm not that interested and I wonder how much it's worth?"

Our first comment is that it probably isn't worth that much money in today's market unless there are some very unique items like very early unused, rare errors, etc.

Our second very serious comment is always that the collection's real value is in the pleasure that discovering or rediscovering this fascinating hobby can give you personally.

Whatever decision you are thinking you want to make be it finding out about maybe collecting again or selling - we are happy to try and help!!!

Simply contact ius for a discussion and we will give you the best free advice or assessment that we can.

And should you decide that you want rid of the collection we can always offer to sell it for you via one of our Red Dot Auctions , via discussions with dealers or other options if we think there are some.

want to try to work out what those stamps are worth yourself?

You could purchase a cheap stamp catalogue and see what the prices are in there BUT... a word of caution..those are the prices the dealer who publishes the catalogue will sell them to you for. AT BEST your stamps will sell for about quarter the price shown and then only if you are lucky!

Your other option is to see what they are selling for on TradeMe or Ebay.
